Quem Somos

The joint owners of the Estudio GLB, Ludmila Vinecka and Antonio Guerra Vicente, are both highly-respected musicians on the Brazilian musical scene. Ludmila Vinecka, born in Prague, the Czech Republic, having graduated in Higher Violin Studies from the Conservatory of her native city. After a couple of seasons playing with the Săo Paulo Philharmonic and the Porto Alegre Symphonic, she eventually took up residence in Brasília, where she successfully competed for the post of leader in the National Theatre Symphonic Orchestra. Ludmila has been intensely involved in teaching, solo work and chamber music performances. Antonio Guerra Vicente, born in Rio de Janeiro, graduated in violoncello at the National Music School of the University of Brazil (present day UFRJ), where he also won the Gold Medal Award. On the basis of a scholarship from the French Government, he continued his studies at the Higher National Conservatory of Music in Paris. He was a teacher at the University of Brasilia from 1972 to 1998. He has recorded extensively in LP and CD for Philips, CBS, Chantecler, RBM, Basf, Comep etc. Ludmila Vinecka and Antonio Guerra Vicente are also founding members of the Brasilia String Quartet, with which they performed in concert halls throughout the world and obtained several awards: 7th Sharp Award, OK Culture Award, Brasilia Order of Cultural Insignia and Carlos Gomes Award.
